Awards: Best Hotel in London at Theme awards 2002, affordable design quality.

We re-planned the Public Areas of this West London Hotel, re-branded as K West to open up opportunities for it to flourish as a destination in the area.

A generous bar gives a lively and sleek sense of glamour set in front of the enormous windows in the double height space of the hotel lobby. The staircase was moved to make this space more open and dramatic.

Large slabs of natural limestone provide a soothing background palette for a “buzzy’ environment. Panels of warm timber add a sense of comfort and innovative lighting brings the space to life.

The redesign changed the profile of the hotel bringing it to the forefront of hotels in its market. The management are convinced that the design has added value.
