Concept Design: Spacetherapy, project realised in collaboration with CLA.
Client: Private
Budget: 350k
The full refurbishment of an apartment on the penultimate floor of a Grade II listed building in one of London's Historic garden squares.
Originally two apartments, poor conversion had led to a cramped and illogical plan. We opened the space to create a fluid, spacious environment.
A sensuous curving corridor creates a atmosphere leading to hidden doors revealing master bedroom and bathroom. The curve borrows space to create a generous bathroom with a massive stone bath.
Open plan Dining and Living Room are arranged on a silvered oak floor with inset oval rug. Large sofas embrace the space and address a massive screen over a stone seating area and inset fire.
The Kitchen is concealed behind a wall with semi transparent sliding screens to either side.
The layout reveals and conceals spaces in turn, creating the illusion of a much larger apartment.
